I graduated from Michigan State University in 2019 with a BS in Physiology. After graduation, I began shadowing at Stokosa Prosthetic Clinic with interest of becoming a prosthetist. Here at the clinic, I assisted Jan and Fran in treatment rooms with patients while learning all the fabricating procedures in our in-house laboratory.
In July of 2020, I started my Master’s program at Northwestern University in Chicago for Prosthetics & Orthotics. During my time at Northwestern, I was the student-body president and focused on inter-health-professional relations. Through my position, I had the opportunity to serve as a representative for the Prosthetics & Orthotics Program in the Student Senate for the entire Fienberg School of Medicine within Northwestern University.
After graduating, I came back to work with Jan and Fran for six months before I started my yearlong Prosthetic Residency at the University of Michigan. While at the University of Michigan, I had the opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient care. I spent extensive time working with patients who have an upper limb amputation as well utilized and mastered various socket designs.
I am extremely excited to be back at Stokosa Prosthetic Clinic. I love the innovative drive of Jan and Fran. They are great mentors to learn from as we work together to provide the highest possible level of patient care.
Outside of my work at the clinic, I love spending time with my wife, Laura, and our family and friends. Any given day, you can find us canoeing, skiing, camping, rooting for MSU, or building projects.
